Welcome to my marathon sponsor page!

This March I will be running in the Jerusalem Marathon. This marathon has been dubbed one of the most grueling marathons in the world, so why am I doing it?

The reason is Shalva.

Shalva has been providing transformative care to individuals with disabilities and their family members in the warmest and most loving environment for over 30 years. From infancy through adulthood, this amazing organization provides leading- edge therapies, inclusive educational frameworks, social and recreational activities, employment training, independent living, and respite programs regardless of religion, ethnic background or financial capability!

Since the breakout of the war in Israel, Shalva has opened their loving and compassionate doors to as many refugees as possible. They are hosting over 200 families from southern neighborhoods that have either been attacked or are presently being targeted. Shalva provides both physical safety, as well as emotional stability and support for these desperate individuals. In addition to that, Shalva is also hosting 100 teenage girls and their mentors from a youth-at-risk program on a southern kibbutz. These girls’ lives were miraculously saved because they were home, celebrating the holiday, instead of gathering on their campus which was completely destroyed during the October 7th massacre. These are just a few insights into Shalva’s expansive reaches and services. The most incredible aspect of all of this is the fact that Shalva’s primary mission is to help Israeli children with special needs. During these difficult times of war, Shalva understands the added need of communities and individuals in Israel. They have stepped forward in incredible strides, bringing light into the world in ways nobody could have imagined. Shalva’s commitment to the people of Israel, and their unrelenting proactive approach is awe-inspiring.

Simply put, Shalva is an incredible organization, open 24 hours a day; 7 days a week. The staff is exceedingly loving and kind and goes way above and beyond to make the center a home away from home for disabled and traumatized children and families.

I am doing my part to support this amazing organization and the Shalva National Crisis Response Center by running, and I need your help.

I'll take care of the training, the achy feet and the finish line if you'll help me by donating to this worthy cause. All contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law, and anything you can give will help me reach my goal. Together we'll be supporting this truly special place. If your company has a matching gift program, please let me know so I can connect you with Shalva.

So put on your running shoes with me, by contributing any amount towards this vital cause.

Thank you in advance for your support, time, and generosity!

Yours,
Moshe
